Like sands. Or an hourglass. Or something like that.

  1. “Republican Secretary of State Gigi Dennis made controversial changes to Colorado campaign-finance rules after requests from lawyers who work for the state GOP, gubernatorial candidate Bob Beauprez and a powerful Republican political committee, records show…

Lawyer Scott Gessler, who does work for Beauprez and his campaign, and attorney John Zak hem, who counsels both the GOP’s Trailhead Group political committee and the state Republican Party, said they made the in-person requests to Dennis on behalf of themselves, not a client.

But Gessler acknowledged politics played a role.

“It was not my sole motivating factor to help Bob Beauprez, but was I conscious of it? Yes,” he said. “The rules are riddled with exceptions that help out Democratic constituencies.”

  2. From Daily Kos

“Second, and this is the part that someone needs to explain to Joe “Call Me The King” Lieberman, we have a thing in America called democracy. We sure were proud of the ink stained fingers in Iraq, but I guess we aren’t so proud of it here. The people have spoken, Joe. They don’t want you. Take your ball and go home, you arrogant anti-democratic gas bag! (yeah, I said it, go ahead and quote me)

And finally, to the rest of the Democratic Party “leaders”: The American people desperately want leadership. Won’t you please give it to us! Forget the polls and go out and stand strong for what we believe in. The republicans do it and people vote for them even when they don’t agree.”

  3. A story with (expletive) and pigs…..

    http://www.denverpos

“It’s another classic both- ways-Bob moment … to talk about renewable energy in light of his support of the NREL cuts. He has no credibility,” said Ritter spokesman Evan Dreyer.

Beauprez responded, “I’d say that’s (expletive), if I can be that blunt.”

“It’d be a lot simpler if Ritter and I just settled it like this,” he later said of the governor’s race. “One pig, two men.”

    LOL.  Good morning read.

  4. Or is reading the daily political news here better than reading the funnies lately?

I would like to congratulate the Mesa College Young Republicans, Trailhead and Beauprez’s lawyers, Gigi Dennis, Janet Rowland and others for making me laugh till it hurts.  And oh does it hurt!

Just remember, it’s all fun and games until someone loses an election!
